| Kitchens
The Hogwarts kitchens are located directly below the Great Hall and are just the same size. They have high ceilings and a great brick fireplace at one end. Mounds of brass pots and pans are heaped around the walls. There are preparation tables directly below the four house tables in the Hall above, and when the time comes for the food to be served, it is magically transported through the ceiling of the kitchen onto the plates. The kitchens are staffed by over a hundred house-elves. To the to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the entrance hall. Follow the corridor until you come to a painting of a bowl of fruit. Tickle the pear and it giggles and becomes a door handle.

| Dungeon Corridors
These corridors lead to the Slytherin common room, the Hufflepuff common room, the potions classroom, the kitchens and other dungeons.

| Ground Floor |
| Entrance Hall
Double oak front doors, opening to the west. Large Cavernous room, lit by torches, with ceiling so high it's barely visible. Wide marble staircase opposite the front doors leads up to the first floor. Double doors to the right lead into the Great Hall. On the east wall are two doors, one on either side of the staircase. To the north of the staircase is a door leading down a flight of steps to the first dungeon level. To the south is a door leading to the Hufflepuff common room and the kitchens. On the north wall is a door leading to a small antechamber where First Years wait to be sorted. On the north wall is the door leading down to the Slytherin common room.

| Great Hall (1 sub-board)
Vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. The doors to the entrance hall open at the back of the room and the tables are arranged with Slytherin against the far right wall. Beside them is Ravenclaw, then Hufflepuff and against the far left wall is Gryffindor. The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room. Behind the staff table is two doors, one is a way for staff to enter the Great Hall without having to come in from the Entrance Hall and the other leads to a small antechamber.

| Small Chamber
Located off the Entrance Hall and opposite the Great Hall. This small chamber is where first years wait to be sorted but basically empty through out the rest of the year.
